Israel Shows JSF Some Love

We reported earlier that Israel is jumping on the JSF bandwagon, and now it looks like now Israel is increasing their order:
The US Government is offering Israel 25 F-35A and an option for 50 F-35A or B Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing (STOVL) Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft capable of deploying to unprepared airfields, relieving Israel's Air Force dependency on main operating bases, vulnerable to enemy missile attacks. Initial deliveries could begin by 2014. If signed promptly, the Israeli acquisition could preceed most of the JSF consortium's international deliveries, as the program's international partners haven't officially placed their orders yet.
