BUB: Evening News Links

With the pending release of the Iraq War files from WikiLeaks comes the predictable government request for the media not to publish any of it. You can imagine how that's going over, right? But at least the US government can take solace that Assange has to find a new mailing address after Sweden rejected his residency request.

In Al Qaeda news, a NATO official is pretty sure that Bin Laden and his cronies are hiding in northwest Pakistan. Wow. I mean, really, we couldn't have guessed that without his help. Looks like Gary Faulkner was on the right track after all. In Yemen, the top AQ leader there has been sentenced to death. Go pick up your virgin goats on the way to the underworld, buddy. And his parent franchise of AQ - AQAP - is supposedly a new threat to the US and Europe.

We've supposedly cut off a significant number of insurgent supply routes in Afghanistan. Y'know, kinda like how Pakistan cut off ours.

Oh, and the Somali pirates struck again, this time snagging a South Korean fishing vessel and 43 crewmembers.
